Together with Marco Rossi from Superutensili, Trenord tested the ForceBEE system for disc brakes. The employees were able to convince themselves of the precise and simple measurement process combined with the great time and cost savings. As the second-largest passenger rail operator in Italy, Trenord operates not only regional services in Lombardy but also suburban lines, the Malpensa Express airport connection, and cross-border routes to the Canton of Ticino via the Swiss railway company TILO. With a fleet of 473 trains, Trenord serves a network spanning 40 main routes and 61 lines. More than 2,170 journeys are made every day—over 800,000 passengers travel with Trenord daily, accounting for 26% of all regional rail traffic in Italy.
